Welcome to the Advanced Composition Seminar website. Here you'll find a course outline and policies for the class, and other information as needed. If you need to contact me, there is a link at the bottom of each page. Please do be in touch with questions, suggestions, or concerns.
You will find a page for downloading manuscript paper. There are various sizes and groupings of staves.
The links page connects to two free notation programs, and also has a link with good information about orchestration.
We will present our compositions at the end of fall semester on a Preparatory Assembly, and in the spring on the Discoveries Concert.
Please note the addition of a table showing string quartet personnel and the dates of their visits, posted on March 23 to guide us through the end of the semester.
